Sudden death of Berlin-based composer, aged 38

The death has been announced of the experimental Swedish composer Marcus Fjellström, a versatile artist who worked with Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Swedish Ballet as well as electronic and avant-garde groups.

No cause of death has yet been given.

Our sympathies to his family and friends.

    Ironic, that in this case, ‘reanimation’ apparently did not help.

    Has anyone contact with his family? Very sad for what happened.
    Thought of dedicating in memory one of my upcoming works in his honour.

      • I’m a poet based in California and only discovered Mr. Fjellström’s music after his passing. I play his works while I write, indeed it’s the only music I’ve been able to find that actually helps concentration. His motifs don’t distract, they focus. I’ve written quite a bit under his influence and have added his name to the acknowledgements in my next book. I’m truly grateful for this artist.
