New owners say: ‘we’ll save the Ives House’
mainNaomi Lewin has tracked down the couple who bought the house that Charles Ives built. Happily, they have awoken to its historic value and decided to preserve its essential character. This is great news that the Ives house will be preserved and restored with good taste instead of being torn down. I wish the same would happen with the Sibelius house in Kerava (the Mattila house). There is no news so far who the government plans to sell it to, but I’m hoping for the best.
