Cleveland banks $7 million
OrchestrasThe Cleveland Orchestra has received a $7 million pledge from Jane B. Nord and the Eric and Jane Nord Family Fund to fund education concerts and transportation subsidies for students. Jane B. Nord has made it her personal and philanthropic goal to assure that every child, regardless of economic circumstance, can attend Cleveland Orchestra Education Concerts at Severance free of charge, providing equitable access for all young people in Cleveland to the benefits of an education rich in music and the arts.
Important : does Cleveland has plan to do an European tour next?
They did one in September 2022. I imagine it will be a while before the next one.
This is the good news! Kudos to Jane!
In other words, a $7 Million Indoctrination Fund to indoctrinate black and brown children to the glories of white music.
Imagine Kanye West setting up a fund in the cushy leafy suburbs of Clevaland promising to provide free access for children to his concerts for “the benefits of an education rich in music and the arts”, I thnk the good citizens of Bentleyville, Pepper Pike, etc would run Ye outta town.
Except that Kanye would never set up anything for free, especially if it would help a Jewish kid—rich or poor, healthy or ill.
You need to stay far away from classical music
What a wonderful contribution to the Symphony and the community!
That money should go to the poor.
Nor everybody likes classical music.
And not everyone likes henry Williams. Let’s give him to the poor
Lucky for you that you are not poor
So rich people are giving money to a rich corporate organization so poor children can briefly experience the indulgences of said rich people. Yup. That seems very philanthropic indeed.
