The iconic singer Gal Costa died today in São Paulo.

She was a central figure in the 1960s Tropicália movement.

    RIP indeed. Gal Costa was one of my favorite Brazilian MPB artists.

    Oh my gosh. Terrible news, indeed. Gal Costa was a wonderful singer and artist, and I love her recordings (I have many of them).
    She will be missed mightily in the world of MPB.
