Message from the Tulsa Symphony:

Tulsa Symphony Orchestra (TSO) sadly announces that Keith C. Elder has resigned from his position as Executive Director and CEO to pursue an opportunity with another orchestra.

He can never, never, ever, go home again.

He’s been there about four years. Orchestra management is like “dog years.”

  • Jeffrey Biegel says:

Good luck to Keith. He’s one of our most respected orchestra administrators. An attorney, a musician, an administrator. Looking forward to learning where he will hang his hat next.

  • Kman says:

An interesting model at the Tulsa Symphony – no chief conductor, only guests. Presumably that makes the executive director job especially important. I hope they find a good replacement, as Tulsa needs it.

    • drummerman says:

Tulsa is structured as a “cooperative” orchestra with musicians making many management decisions. Therefore, one might say that the executive director is not “especially important.”

  • David Hyslop says:

Keith is a very talented gentleman and I wish him well with his new assignment.
