Sudden death of a popular Vienna soprano
RIPThe conductor Robert Papocsi has announced the death of his wife Judith Halasz, a versatile and well-liked opera singer.
Judith was a member of the Vienna State Opera ensemble from 2001-2003 and 2007-2008, and a freelance performer ever since.
She leaves a young son.
Judith was the daughter of the Vienna opera conductor Michael Halasz.
Our sympathies to the bereaved family.

Apparantly it was a pulmonary embolism. Tragic.
