Munich Philharmonnic mourns 1st violin
RIPThe orchestra has posted a notice of the death of Martin Mainz, one of the first violin section who served for 38 years. After taking early retirement for health reasons, he formed a string quartet and other chamber ensembles, among them a dance orchestra.
He learned his craft in Augsburg, Munich and Bloomington, Indiana.
