A toy model of the hearse that took Jean Sibelius to his final rest is the must-have Christmas gift in Finland this year.

It’s a 1/43 scale metal model of the 1957 Volvo PV800 that conveyed the national composer on his last journey.

Yours for 27 Euros here.

Aren’t Finns fun?

Sure…And this is a taxi, not the hearse modle up for sale. At least the seller did some musical research in order to flog his goods.

    • David K. Nelson says:

Meanwhile Americans — always trying to outdo the Finns in the fun department — have long been able to purchase scale models of the Lincoln limo that JFK was riding when assassinated, as well as the special railroad car that carried Abraham Lincoln’s body back to Springfield IL.

It does looks like a beautiful scale model BTW.

But this still seems to be on sale?

And doesn`t this very site report deaths extensively?
