We hear that the Shchedryk children’s choir have moved their rehearsals underground after renewed Russian bombardment of the Kiev area. The choir are due to appear at Carnegie Hall on December 4, singing Bernstein, Gershwin, Sylvestrov, Eric Whitacre and more.

The concert marks the centenary of a legendary US tour by Ukraine’s Koshyts Capella, singing the national favourite ‘Carol of the Bells’, or ‘Shchedryk’, from which the children’s choir took its name.

Let’s pray for peace and quiet.

Beautiful thank you. All those lives blighted by a madman no one has the guts to remove.

All one needs to hear is the sound of a child singing, to know that children are the hope of the world. So beautiful. Thank you for sharing this.
