Has anyone told the entertainment creators (composers, writers, directors etc.) that being gay is no longer the outrage n shock anymore? In fact it’s becoming cliche n boring, routine. Who gives a s*&*? It’s more interesting to quit being gay n live in a Hasidic community.

Never thought it “more interesting” to live in a fundamentalist pre-modern theocracy similar to that of the Mullahs in Iran. Cant imagine any creative type feels otherwise.

I left the gay life to live as a celibate and follow orthodox Christian beliefs. Don’t think it would make a great opera either, but it is a road less traveled, for sure.

  • william osborne says:

It’s a pity the opera can’t produced in an opera house with all the necessary facilities and personnel. Due to our lack of an effective funding system, the American opera world is cheated.

  • Karden says:

Would be more interesting too if the lead character were a gay black female from the Hasidic community who doesn’t care for progressive or leftist politics. Now THAT would be uncommon and fascinating.

In what way is this tale unsettling?
