New boss at the Elysées
NewsThe Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris has promoted Baptiste Charroing to general director from the summer of 2025.
He will succeed Michel Franck, who is not seeking a fourth term.
Charroing, who has been head of production at the theatre, is co-founder with David Grimal of the the ensemble Les Dissonances.
The Théâtre des Champs Elysées isn’t what it used to be in terms of programming, overshadowed as it is by Paris’ superb new halls. Yet it has a magic to it that few halls can match.
