Just in: Berlin cancels Barenboim’s 80th birthday

Cancellation of the 80th birthday concert for Daniel Barenboim on November 15th

It is with great regret that Daniel Barenboim has to cancel the concert he was planning to give together with Zubin Mehta and the Staatskapelle Berlin on the day of his 80th birthday on November 15 for health reasons. We hope to be able to catch up on the concert at a later date.

Director Matthias Schulz, Managing Director Ronny Unganz and all employees of the house wish Daniel Barenboim a speedy recovery!

Tickets will be refunded. For reimbursement by voucher or bank transfer, buyers should contact the card service directly. Bookings made within the last 6 months via Paypal or credit card will be automatically refunded. If you have any questions, you can reach the ticket service of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden by email at tickets@staatsoper-berlin.de and by phone on 030 – 20 35 45 55 from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m .

Mit großem Bedauern muss Daniel Barenboim das Konzert, das er am Tag seines 80. Geburtstages am 15. November gemeinsam mit Zubin Mehta und der Staatskapelle Berlin geben wollte, aus gesundheitlichen Gründen absagen. Wir hoffen, das Konzert zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt nachholen zu können.

Karten werden rückerstattet. Für Erstattung per Gutschein oder Banküberweisung wenden sich Käufer:innen direkt an den Kartenservice.
