As a citizen of Haifa-where Ivry was born – I am still waiting for a similar gesture in my city….
Ivry was born in Odessa Ukraine.
No- He was born in Haifa
His parents imigrated from Ukraine a year before he was born- but he was boiorn in Haifa, Israel
“Violoniste et humaniste:” Yes!
We will never see his like again. I feel immensely privileged to have known him. R.I.P dear Ivry.
