Message from the Lucerne Festival:

Unfortunately, due to ill health, the pianist Yuja Wang has had to cancel her performance with the Vienna Philharmonic / Wiener Philharmoniker and Esa-Pekka Salonen on Tuesday, 6 September 2022. Bertrand Chamayou will replace her playing the piano part of Olivier Messiaen’s “Turangalîla” Symphony. We thank Bertrand Chamayou for stepping in at such short notice and wish Yuja Wang a speedy recovery.

The Vienna Philharmonic playing Turangalila. Now that’s a casting against type I’d be interested to hear.

Weird there’s a picture of her in Paris hanging out with Orchestre de Paris summer academy members. Guess she’s feeling better!

Her skirts are too short. She got cold.
