I can’t think of anything I would prefer that would be worse on a plane trip unless it was all passengers yakking on their phones at the same time – although a clutch of Elvis impersonators would have me screaming to get off.
Agreed. An endless long haul flight would seem even more endless with those insufferable Cape Town belters onboard.

I’ve experienced ‘in flight entertainment’ of this kind before. Their egos eclipse any kind of doubt that it might be unwelcome or insensitive.
