Ukrainian dancers book London’s Coliseum

A company of refugee dancers, United Ukrainian Ballet, have reserved London’s Coliseum for a week in September to perform a new choreography of Giselle by Alexei Ratmansky.

English National Opera will supply the orchestra, Birmingham Royal Ballet are contributing costumes and set.

Viktor Oliynyk of the National Opera of Ukraine will conduct.

    I am not a big fan of ballet, but I have been to Kiyev several times. And I spent every evening I could at the National Opera, regardless of the program. The opera was usually nice, but not particularly great. But the ballet evenings were stunning, without any exception. Apparently, the talent pool is endless. If you are in London: go and see it. You won’t be disappointed. Even if you are not really a big fan of ballet…
