ORF reports that the Salzburg Festival has parted company with a Swiss mining company Solway, identified by the Bellingcat investigative site as being closely linked to Vladimir Putin.

Solway has also been accused of human rights violations in Guatemala, which it denies

The loss to Salzburg is a mere 150,000 euros.

    Mere 150,000 that helped bring kids from Ukraine, Guatemala and North Macedonia and teach them music in Salzburg. No biggie. Let them stay home.

    The Solvay boss Bronstein was mainly responsible for Currentzis’ first engagement in Salzburg. Just sad that the now missing 150k Euros will be missing in the budget of Youth Salzburg Festival…
