Just in: An American wins the Belvedere Competition
UncategorizedThe US countertenor Key’mon Murrah tonight won the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition. A Ukrainian singer, Nikita Ivasechko, came second.
Rueben Mbonambi from South Africa was awarded third prize.
The final was staged this year in Latvia.
Was the competition for male singers, only?

Congratulations!!! So VERY happy for him. An extraordinary and talented singer.
So well-deserved, for when I heard this countertenor in April 2019 singing in a masterclass in Carnegie Hall, given by Joyce DiDonato, my heart made a leap.
