We have been informed that Henry Mollicone died last week after a long illness. Henry was 76.

He wrote a number of one-act operas, of which The Face on the Barroom Floor was widely performed.

The headline quote is from the Washingon Post.

Like so many others, he started out as a Leonard Bernstein assistant.

I went to school with Henry and also spent a summer with him in Tanglewood. One of the most memorable nicest people I ever knew. I am sad to learn that he is no longer with us.
