Brazil mourns much-loved Guest

A Holocaust survivor who fled Hungary for Brazil in 1956, Ian Guest revolutionist music teaching and appreciation in his new country.

His life was celebrated three years ago in a film, The Imperfectionist.

His death has been reported this weekend.

      Guest survived the Holocaust in Hungary; what he was escaping was the Soviet suppression of the 1956 Hungarian revolt. Brazil had welcomed many Holocaust escapees; Guest happens not to have been one of them.

      Does anyone know what his Hungarian birth name was?
