UK orchestra leader retires at 70
NewsThe violinist Nicholas Ward, artistic director of the Northern Chamber Orchestra, has decided to retire after 37 years as leader.
Ward, who also served as leader of two London chamber ensembles, will give his final concert with the NCO in Macclesfield on May 21.
