    That’s OK but not enough.

What now needs to come is a 10% surplus on oil from Russia directly donated to the Ukraine.

In Germany, however, no one ever learns or wants to change.

The car industry won’t move, nor will their brain-washed clients and political lobbyists.

It has actually been proposed that the poor car drivers should be subsidised so they can continue transforming Russian petrol into CO2.

No one is really interested in saving energy and donating income until it hurts.

That sounds rather dismissive – it’s more than “OK” that ASM and her friends were minded to make the effort to raise substantial funds for Ukrainian children. It’s all part of the collective effort and of course much more needs to be done by all European governments.

      • Gustavo says:

I didn’t want to dismiss ASM’s effort which is quite remarkable.

I was just thinking that if every German car owner would donate the amount of money for one litre of Russian petrol per car and day then around 145 M EUROS could be raised in one day.

    And 0 for Donbass.

  • Nina says:

Okay men, you don’t like what I say in every comment related to current situation. But I know some people from Donbass personally. They fled from constant shelling in Donetsk and Lugansk a few years ago to Moscow. One of them got a well-paid job at a public music school. Another one studies at the Moscow Conservatory with a scholarship. If for 8 years not a single European and American artist or musician has noticed what is happening in the Donbass and how children are dying, then everything they do now is just business.

  • Taras Bulba says:

It’s time for many other top-tier orchestras to do the same.
