Fleabag’s sister gets Decca release
NewsThe composer Isobel Waller-Bridge, sister of the sensational comedienne Phoebe W-B, has a major release on Decca of her score for a golfing movie, The Phantom of the Open.
Isobel has also written fine soundtracks for Munich – The Edge of War, Emma and her sister’s eponymous TV series, Fleabag.
I can’t comment on the merits of the score but this looks like a great feelgood movie. I met Mark Rylance after a Berliner Philharmoniker Proms Concert and we had a selfie. He was an absolute gent.
Rylance’s wife is a composer and early-music specialist, and both have been seen at classical concerts in NYC.
