The director of the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra, Gayane Shiladzhyan, has issued the following order to the front-desk security team at the Moscow International House of Music:

Due to the increase in the incidence of a new coronavirus infection, for the safety of the activities of the team and everyone in the MIHM building, I ask you to temporarily block access cards to the MIHM building from January 20, 2022 for the following employees of the orchestra who have QR codes and are vaccinated, but with very low levels of antibodies:

(13 musician names)

I ask you to allow the above-mentioned employees to enter the MIHM building on an individual basis until revaccination against COVID only with results of negative daily express testing provided on the screens of mobile phones.

In the process of revaccination, the list will be updated.

It sounds like these 13 are vaccinated but not “boosted”. But anyway the preponderance of evidence suggests that the “fully” vaccinated are just as likely, possibly more likely, to catch and spread COVID-19 than unvaccinated/unboosted. So, if the manager is so concerned, he should require negative tests from EVERYBODY. Or maybe it is time to stop worrying about COVID-19 and get on with life.

And why is he requiring the negative tests to be shown on a smartphone? Not everyone has smartphones, so he must accept paper printouts as well.

The headline says they are “13 unvaxed musicians”, whereas the director of the orchestra is saying they are vaxed. Obviously he wants them to get the booster… Please not the difference. Thank you!
