Regents Opera today announces a gala evening on 28 March to launch its Ring Cycle which will run from November 2022 to November 2024.

Packed with Ring Cycle favourites from the opening of Rheingold and Siegfried’s Forging Song to Walküre Schlußszene and Winterstürme from Act 1 of Die Walküre, Regents Opera’s glittering gala promises to be a wonderful evening of Wagner’s music where they will also reveal their plans, date and venue for their Ring Cycle.

Assembled is an exciting cast of international singers, led by Keel Watson as Wotan, Catharine Woodward as Brünnhilde, and Philip Modinos as Siegfried, all of whom will perform in the gala and then go on to play those roles in the full Ring Cycle.

Regents Opera is the amalgamation of Fulham Opera and Regents Opera…. Conductor and orchestral arranger Ben Woodward said: “We want to give people a taste of the Ring Cycle we are working hard to realise, starting later this year. But we also need to raise funds to ensure we can pay everyone involved appropriately. Even with strong ticket sales, our productions are always dependent on the kind and exceptionally generous donations of our supporters and a production on this scale requires significant sponsorship and investment.

“We look forward to sharing more detail about our plans with potential supporters, Regents Opera and Ring Cycle fans at what will be a spectacular, stunning evening of Wagner with a wonderful line up of singers.

If this is even half as good as Fulhan Opera’s 2014 Ring Cycle, it’ll be absolutely unmissable!
    Roll on November!
