Yes, I was going to say that there are actually very few cases that are certain to be covid deaths. Most have been cases as you mentioned, of patients with at least 4 other comorbidities. On the other hand, in America there was a recent case where a criminal was shot and killed by the police and because he had covid they actually counted him as a covid death! The hospital explained that they have been told to register every death of a person who had covid when they died, as a covid death. That’s ridiculous.
I wish Janáček was around. He’d write a gripping burlesque about Covid.
The point is that covid is much more dangerous for vulnerable people: old and/or frail, bad condition, suffering from other conditions. People who otherwise would NOT have died, can now die because of covid, so: those are definitely covid deaths.
Don’t play down a pandemic which disrupts so many lives.
Viral and false propaganda ravings fueled by an incorrect ABC News edit of the CDC director’s quote. What she said was that 75 percent of those vaccinated who then caught Covid had at least 4 other conditions. Get your facts straight.

Yes, but comorbidities alone won’t kill a person. COVID is the contributing factor that makes otherwise survivable conditions lethal. Please get your facts a little more correct. COVID is nto something to be played down.
This is partially accurate. What CDC said was in the context of the value of the covid vaccines. CDC Director Wolensky said that the effectiveness of the vaccines in preventing SEVERE illness was an “encouraging headline.” She then said, “The overwhelming numbers of deaths, over 75%, occurred in people who had at least four comorbidities, so really these were people who were unwell to begin with.” She did NOT say these deaths were due to comorbidities. To say that comorbidities caused these deaths is an opinion and not based on any data.

Yes, but those co-morbidities in and of themselves would NOT have resulted in the pre-mature death of the individual. Stop trying to trivialize the worst global viral pandemic since 1918. It is simple, get vaccinated and you will survive COVID-19.
