Met star: I am not engaged any more
UncategorizedThe stunning Nadine Sierra warmed our hearts when she accepted a proposal of marriage at the Met in December 2019.
But then Covid came along and a lot changed in all our lives.
In the latest video inquisition from the Screaming Divas, Nadine admits: ‘I am not engaged any more. I am not…. The most important thing for artists is, if we want to be happy on stage we have to be happy in life. So… I made a decision in my life, and I was not happy… that meant losing this relationship. And now I’m the happiest I have ever been.’
People tell everything to those Screaming Divas. There’s just no place to hide.
A conductor once told me (after a guesting gig), “In this business it’s the re-engagements that are important.” Applies equally to all musicians, actors, etc. If they’re not in work everyone loses out.
In the grand scheme of things, it’s better for the viola players to only marry other viola players.
I first heard Nadine Sierra sing when she was an undergraduate at Mannes, studying with Ruth Falcon. She was already wonderful and look forward to hearing her at the Met Opera this season.
This item belongs in the women’s glossy magazines (do they still publish these??).
An incredibly talented and charismatic performer who is incredibly down-to-earth. I wish her the very best.
You make us all so proud…especially the Puerto Rican population worldwide…Who would have thought that a little pipsqueak from Fort Laurderdale would become the most famous soprano on the globe? BRAVO !!!!
