Italy loses guitar pioneer to Covid

The Pescara guitarist and political activist Paolo Giordano died of Coronavirus on December 29, aged 59.

Acclaimed by the songwriter Lucio Dalla as ‘one of the best in Europe’, Giordano was said to be the first in ltaly to experiment with tapping and percussive techniques on the acoustic guitar. He opened Danna’s groundbreaking 1991 tour each night with a medley of original meditations for solo guitar and invented hos own hybrid harp-guitar.

      I think the emphasis here should be on the fact that a reasonably young man died of what many still claim is” just another flu”

        Like the 40 year old woman down the road from me 25 years ago who died from the regular flu. They just couldn’t get her temperature down!! Clue; you can still get Covid after vaccination, and still pass it on!!

        I’m sorry to learn about the death of this talented man, much too young.
