Meadowmount School of Music, founded in 1944 by the arch-pedagogue Ivan Galamian, has named Janet Sung as its artistic director, starting immediately.

Sung is currently Head of Strings at the DePaul University School of Music in Chicago, as well as founding Artistic Director of Chamber Music Chicago. She studied for ten years with Josef Gingold.

Meadowmount School of Music offers seven weeks of tuition in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York for players aged 13 to 30.
