The Spanish baritone Carlos Marin, a cornerstone of the singing group Il Divo, died yesterday in a Manchester hospital of Covid-19.

His bandmates Urs Buhler, David Miller, and Sebastien Izambard said: ‘It is with heavy hearts that we are letting you know that our friend and partner, Carlos Marin, has passed away. He will be missed by his friends, family and fans. There will never be another voice or spirit like Carlos.’

Il Divo was formed as a ‘popera’ group in 2003 by the pop impresario Simon Cowell, capitalising on the global success of The Three Tenors.

They sold 30 million albums.

Carlos was admitted to hospital last week after falling ill on December 7.

Our condolences to his family.

Not only a classi-pop singer, as he had a remarkable carreer in opera, zarzuela and musicals before joining Il Divo and also was a producer and manager during this crossover period.
A great artist and a lovely guy, he will be much missed.

And there she stands amidst all of “THOSE!?” looking like Jesus on that donkey, already numb and ready to die. Which he wouldn’t have been able to do properly, had I not put him back on his horse, after “someone” smacked him so hard that he almost jumped ship in the middle of the voyage.

And that is NOT funny about “fluff” beginning with F’s ending with two of them, as something else here: (fill in the blanks) F*@# *ff

They played the song “ amazing grace “ at her funeral . I’ll never forget her I was close to her n still close to my heart every time I listen to lil divo . My hearts goes out to family n friends n the opera community for losing such a great singer .
