Just in: Barca gets new maestro
NewsThe Barcelona Symphony Orchestra has named the French conductor Ludovic Morlot as its music director until 2026. He starts in September 2022.
Morlot, 48 is Conductor Emeritus of the Seattle Symphony.

Nobody in Barcelona says Barça when they talk about the city. Barça is the sports club. The traditional oral short form is Barna, but now pretty much everyone writes BCN.
Some of his recordings with the Seattle Symphony are very good, stand-outs so far are some very fine Dutilleux & an Ives disc also worth checking out.
