An unnamed concert promotion company, founded in 2018 by a Hamburg musicologist and composer, is suing the Elbphilharmonie for attempting to exert control of the events that he puts on.

The promoter wants to present his own artists 20 times a year.

The hall says it is ‘subject to certain requirements… that relate to quality, mix and affordability.’

The plaintiff claims to feel discriminated against and is claiming antitrust protection.

This could be an interesting test case.
