    It’s not actually live! It’s a delayed relay by an hour as I’m going down from Leeds to see it for £14 – a bargain – and it starts at 7.30pm BST London time!!! But a great opportunity for those on here far and wide who couldn’t possibly travel, and a wonderful opera.

    Not only is it not live but I suspect what will be streamed on Saturday is at least partly from earlier performances because this is the third performance where cameras have been present.

    No matter, it’s an excellent production with some top-drawer singing. An incredibly moving experience all round which is why I’ll be going for the second time tomorrow.
