The diva’s having a blast on her 50th birthday tonight.

Friends are flying in from all over.

Rolando Villazon and Michael Volle are among the first to arrive.

President Putin sent a greeting, apologising he could not attend due to Covid isolation.

      Right you are. Only a week ago had she funerals of her dad. I’ve been stunned she is such a posh and plush smiling person theese days. No comments

        I think this is unfair. She recently lost her beloved father, but he was a good age. So was mine when he died. I considered, and do to this day, that he was a great loss to my life, but it was not a tragedy.

        50 is considered a significant birthday by most people and I doubt that her father, with whom she apparently had a close and happy relationship, would begrudge his daughter a celebration of this event.

    Did she have enough breath to blow out her candles, ’cause she surely hasn’t got it for the (scheduled) upcoming Abigailles in Wien (tickets still on sale for the three performances preceding Domingo’s Abschied).

    Well, she’s already had Covid, so presumably her antibodies will take care of any viral spread that happens at this shindig. Hopefully others are vaccinated and taking precautions.
