UK games composer is jailed for sex with girl, 13

The Cambridge games composer Ian Taylor has been sent to jail for 22 months for a sexual assualt on a young girl.

Taylor, 53, assaulted the girl in the early hours of December 21 last year. He admitted inappropriate touching.

In March 2021, he was sacked from his job with Cambridge games studio Jagex where he was responsible for the Runescape series (pictured), composing some 635 tracks.

    Sex and inappropriate touching are different things. I guess if it was sex, it wouldn’t be 22 month.

    At least he received a custodial sentence
    Instead of the usual suspended sentence.
