Singapore media are reporting that the well-known conductor Adrian Tan died last night in his sleep. He was 44 and had no known health issues.

Adrian, who co-founded the Conductors Collegium Asia earlier this year, conducted extensively around the region and was music director of the Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra in Vietnam from 2014 to 2019.

He is survived by his mother, with whom he lived.

Great musician and person. Shocking loss.

  • Dennis says:

Another vax victim? Sudden cardiac arrest death – under age 45 – out of nowhere, with no prior health concerns. Fits a pattern these days. That it’s reported in media as an inexplicable mystery also fits a pattern.

    • LF says:

Yes, he got the vaccine only a few days ago.

    • Anon says:

That’s quite a scientific analysis you performed with no information whatsoever Dr. Dennis.

      • Karl says:

The concern is that the medical community is covering up problems with the vaccines. I think it’s a legitimate concern.

        • Saxon says:

Er…personally I think it is “a bit weird” to believe there is a vast international plot by the medical profession to poison people with vaccines. And that little-old Karl is the one genius who has uncovered the plot. Only nobody will listen to him.

More likely is that the medical profession are doing their best to help in an imperfect world. And the evidence suggests that any risks from the vaccine (nothing is completely risk free) is negligible compared to the risk from Covid-19. Especially for anyone not in great health.

    • R says:

22 people as of this moment DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT.
no doubt those 22 have been vaxxed and have to defend the narrative. 22 people ignorance is bliss, blind sheeple believing msm. This man loses his precious life due to total propaganda. Folks: there ARE therapeutics. Just totally censored because without therapeutics, vax is the ONLY savior.

      • Jake Thonis says:

Calm down. There are plenty of reasons one can unexpectedly die. I knew a clarinetist who died while practicing one night. Save your preaching for your local street corner

    • fflambeau says:

Yes, Dennis, heart attacks, “sudden cardiac arrest”, can and often do happen because there is no warning signs for high blood pressure. My own grandmother died of this aged 50.

  • Insider says:

    Perhaps, R is an i…t

  • fflambeau says:

Tan died of cardiac arrest (heart attack); it had nothing to do with vaccines.

Singapore-based music conductor Adrian Tan died of a cardiac arrest on Monday at the age of 44.” See

  • LoveMusic says:

Shocked to hear this! Far too young to leave this world! Our paths crossed a couple of times during musical events. A very nice, energetic, educated and dedicated person, loved and lived for his music and good food. My deepest condolences go out to his family and close friends.

    Regarding the vax-comments:
I’m not an expert but If someone healthy dies in his sleep just days after receiving a controversial experimental vaccination i don’t think it’s productive to taboo this fact.

    • fflambeau says:

Right, LoveMusic. If someone thousands of miles away from the subject who is not a doctor and has never seen him as a patient nor his records spuriously claims it was due to vaccinations, we are just to believe this nonsense?

By the way, the vaccines are not controversial or “experimental” (you are showing your politics), millions of people have taken them. Almost none have severe symptoms. That’s a medical fact. I have heard the current medical director of the Salk Institute, who is a trained doctor who has tons of expertise, say the vaccines are the “safest he has ever seen.”

      • Nana says:

I don’t think you have then checked the information so well. There are so many doctors that are saying this vax is not save. And side fact, it’s officially an experiment till 2023/2024. Yes you can participate it and take it though. Besides there are plenty of nasty side effects. Unfortunately quite many cases as well. How i know? search the internet as well as official institutions where the side effects are being reported at. Heart inflammation/heart attack is one of the common side effects in young males as well. Ofcource not everyone gets them, but there are enough cases already i think. Hopefully no more

      • Saxon says:

fflambeau writes: “the vaccines are the “safest he has ever seen” ”

Err….not true. The safest vaccines are those that have been used over many years and have a long history of use. By construction, that isn’t true with the vaccine for Covid-19. All we can say is that the vaccine is reasonably safe (it passed its clinical trials), and the risks of not taking it and catching Covid are a great deal higher: if you are medium or high risk you would be mad not to take the vaccine.

  • Adrian Tan was a well-loved conductor, who loved music and made the musical community in Singapore a better place to be in.
