Only for those who were lucky enough to create an account on their website before 12 o clock today.
    What a joke.

    • PeterB says:

You mean you only now heard about the Wagner Festival in Bayreuth, thought “hey, maybe I should check it out!” and are terribly disappointed that people who would do absolutely everything to attend and have informed themselves ages ago on how to do that managed to get in before you?

      What a joke indeed.

  • M McAlpine says:

    You are welcome!

  • Y says:

That’s like signing up for a root canal. If Wagner saw what Bayreuth has become, he would mercy-kill it himself.

  • Jack says:

Any insight on why Parsifal is in concert form?

    • Player says:

Only one new production a year, and that is the Dutchman, but they need to fill out the schedule because Lohengrin (for whatever – Covid? – reason) is not being given again until next year.

    • Barry Guerrero says:

Because nothing really happens on stage anyway, other than a few sexy flower girls, and people flinging spears about. Do really need to see a bunch of knights marching endlessly back and forth to bonging bells? I don’t.

  • Alan Glick says:

I would hope at least that details of the production would be available to purchasers before they decided to invest the amount of money necessary for tickets and the trip only to find that the lead characters in Parsifal were SpongeBob Squarepants, Captain Jack Sparrow, Carrot Top, and Moms Mabley.

  • Couperin says:

Anyone able to snag some tix? Or are we just gonna collectively whine about it?
