Frankfurt won’t risk open-air concert

The Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra and the European Central Bank have cancelled the annual Europa Open Air concert.

It is usually attended by 20,000 people with picnic baskets, and they tend to mingle.

Too much of a risk, says the bank.

    A performance from April with the orchestra, A O-E, and Hilary Hahn of the Dvorak concerto sans audience and coughing is well worth a listen. Yes, the soloist is masked and the rest of the participants aren’t.
