Bordeaux hires Paris chief to renew its OpéraNews
The troubled Opéra de Bordeaux has named Emmanuel Hondré to remplace Marc Minkowski as its new chief
Hondré, 53, is presently events director at the Philharmonie de Paris, responsible for 500 performances a year. He has also been Professor of the history of music at the Conservatoire.
Minkowski’s time has been marred by frequent clashes with the workforce.
