How can you hurt anyone with an online comment? If she’s not vaccinated ad working in that closed pit with a nearly 100-piece orchestra, bets are that she may get it from another non-vaccinated person.
You do know that vaccinated people can get Covid don’t you (even if they are much less likely to get seriously ill when they have it). The vaccine isn’t going to eliminate the virus, and we are going to have to learn to live with it.

No. Minnesota’s point is absolutely right. Anyone who is not vaccinated is going to be infected sooner or later. And actually with the delta variant, more sooner than later.

I’m for vaccinations, but given the goal of keeping the orchestra playing, daily testing seems better, frankly. You can still catch and spread when vaccinated, and the vaccination makes it potentially less likely one would know they are infected because of decreased symptoms. It goes without saying that testing and vaccinations are not mutually exclusive.

I see they recommend Casirivimab and Imdevimab. This has not been approved but emergency use approved by the FDA (where have we heard that before?). This is investigational and still being studied. They also say there is limited information about the SAFETY and EFFECTIVENESS of the drugs.
So now outpatients are also guinea pigs?
This was approved June3, 2021 which I admit I missed. The old treatment was let the patient quarantine at home and go to emergency if things got worse. Many people suffered and died needlessly.

Virtually all the studies are from hospitalized patients. It has been stated and shown over and over again in studies on EARLY use of Ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine + zinc, budesonide and other safe drugs. That the CDC and FDA nixed it as early treatment last year was obvious. If these drugs can stop hospitalizations and deaths early, the FDA legally COULD NOT approve the experimental “vaccines.”
That Ivermectin is a safe drug is not open for debate anymore.

Both is better, but all you “need” is something that works. The NFL got through a season based on daily testing, showing that testing can work even in the absence of a vaccine. It’s not a perfect analog, and there were hiccups, of course, but far fewer than many anticipated.

I’m just waiting it out for 6 months to see how you are all doing after your immune systems are shot. Personally, I found the virus to be very mild. Almost no phlegm, dry cough, headache, lethargy for three days. My wife had a cough , and then was done with it. I’ve had far worse flu symptoms. Why are you so scared? Calm down. Stop watching so much TV.

The point is to reduce deaths. In the States 99.5 percent of recent deaths from covid are in unvaccinated people. The infected fleeing Texas Democrats and Polosi’s staff are exhibiting only mild symptoms. Unvaccinated people who catch covid have an approximately 2 percent chance of dying. Vaccinated people who catch covid have approximately a 0.02 percent chance of dying. The odds of vaccinated people catching covid are a fraction of that, meaning that the chance of vaccinated people dying from covid is a tiny fraction of 0.02 percent. The other reason to get vaccinated is to slow the spread of the virus to unvaccinated and the rare susceptible vaccinated people.

If you are killed by a falling tree a week after being vaccinated, that has to be reported to the Vaccine Adverse Effects Reporting System.

All I can find is that “Iphégenie en Taurde” (not exactly a box office draw) and the first performance of “Turandot” have been cancelled “to accommodate the necessary technical preparations” – nothing to due with the pandemic. A concert with Netrebko in the same time period is postponed, not cancelled.
It is expected she will show up for the second run of “Turandot” in April/May 2022 (Christine Goerke has the initial run, starting in October 2021).

No vaccine is 100% effective. Even if you are a breakthrough patient, the vaccine prevents you from getting so sick that you end up in the hospital. That’s why you get the vaccine.
The points are:
1) the percentage of people who are fully vaccinated who still get sick is very small. Hundreds of millions of people have been vaccinated, so even a very small percentage of them getting sick works out to be more than just a handful of people.
2) the people who do get sick for the most case have very mild infections, and do not end up in the hospital or the morgue. In the US, over 95% of the people who die now are unvaccinated.
3) the people who are vaccinated have low viral loads if they do get sick, and do not pass it on as effectively as those who are not. They are of very little risk to other vaccinated people, but those without any immunity (haven’t had the vaccine or a strong infection already, or without a competent immune system) are still at considerable risk being exposed to anyone carrying the virus, vaccinated or not.
There are NO vaccines for any disease which provide 100% immunity to everyone who gets them. The mRNA vaccines are spectacularly effective. By saying “what good are they?” you are saying that you don’t think any vaccine is any good, and that reveals you to be uninformed, to put it somewhat diplomatically.

I am glad to see in the comments that more people are thinking with their heads rather than blindly following some experimental treatment agenda. I am not against vaccines but people should have a choice and not be judged. And I can’t understand why people are so afraid of being infected and not injected. The biggest danger of the coronavirus is the enhanced disease due to pathogenic priming that trigger autoimmune issues because of the proteins that the body expresses in response to the virus. You will get these either way through the vaccine or through the infection. The delta variance is a complete nonsense but it will take forever to explain. One of the most important thing is that the latest research from Peabody shows that people exposed to the virus naturally will develop antibodies that will reproduce in their bone marrow about 6 months after they go through the disease. Ummm, in order to understand how this particular science was formed, I highly recommend a great book about the birth of medicine as we know it today. It’s a long read but since we are talking facts I am sure you can spend the time: The Social Transformation of American Medicine: The Rise of a Sovereign Profession and the Making of a Vast Industry by Paul Starr. Most health management majors have to read it as part of their curriculum and I honestly find it objective and very good. Enjoy:)
