    This movement of Brahms’ German Requiem is a piece of pure genius, and – even for Brahms – entirely traditional in terms of musical language. Such sublime music is the best that German culture has produced. Together with Bach and Beethoven, the top of the German musical mountain.

        Yes, but Schütz’s name does not begin with the obligatory B. He should be renamed Bütz.
