Scotland tops UK conservatoire league
mainThe 2022 Arts, Drama & Music league table was published today.
The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland has an overall score of 100%.
In second place is London’s Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

In the global QS rankings, MIT came top as usual with a perfect 100.
Next are Oxford, Stanford, Cambridge and Harvard.
Edinburgh came 16th, Glasgow 73rd, Cardiff 151st.
Meaningless tables when parameters like “student satisfaction” and “current income” are used.
Well, current income is an important factor for people trying to make a living in the arts…
And baristas are paid more in London and New York than many other cities…
Meaningless. And no mention of the Leeds Conservatoire formerly Leeds College of Music.
But in a different league table Edinburgh Uni was 4th, Glasgow Uni 8th, and the RCS 11th.
