Moscow’s electroacoustic wizard has died, at 85

The Georgian sound engineer and composer Stanislav Kreichi built an ANS synthesiser in the Soviet capital and made it available to a handful of trusted musicians. He was a rare and daring avantgardist in the dying ember of the Soviet empire, possibly the most important sound shaper in Russia since Leon Theremin.
