The Vienna State Opera was authorised today by the Government to reopen on May 19, despite persitently high Covid levels in the city.

We are currently working on the necessary preparations and ask for your understanding that we will not inform you today, but of course as soon as possible about dates, performances and ticket sales.

    Too early.

    Or even perSistently!

As in England, you can be authorised to open as were the churches, mosques, synagogues and temples, but it didn’t mean you had to!

Capacity will be limited to the lesser of 50% or 1.500 people. Masks and distancing will be mandatory. It is too early to know, but you will most likely have to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within the previous 72 hours and/or proof of full vaccination (although the idiots on the far right are complaining that the “Green Passport” – good throughout the EU – will take away freedom and create a second class).
