A Pasadena couple, Terri and Jerry Kohl, have just given $5 million to the LA Opera Orchestra. Just like that.

The Kphls own a chain of 180 Brighton Collectibles stores.

‘Their gift will assist the 62 core members and additional players of the orchestra who have been sidelined due to COVD-19 closures,’ said a grateful LA Opera.

      You gotta love the rich.

Actually you have little choice if you are an American.
The Country is kind of built around them.
Everyone else is there to make them richer and to thank them for it.

As my father always used to say, “rich or poor, it’s nice to have money!” And especially if you donate it to deserving organizations. What a generous gift!

Thank you, to this wonderfully generous couple!

Before we pat them on the back remember that all of them, including their children, are pulling in salaries as “officers” of their foundation. One son is a VP; a daughter is the treasurer.
Plus, all are taking big tax breaks from this. It is not exactly disinterested giving.

Sounds good – but let’s also make it contingent on sending your wife, daughter, or mother to work as his assistant and be groped by him to earn their living.
