Nothing about what steps are being taken re: COVID safety concerns?
    Count me OUT.

Well, it’s not compulsory – in case you thought it was! There will be many others delighted to go and get on with life. Think after a year, people will know the rules and regulations as of since 12 April, and then next 17 May and 21 June in England. I’d most certainly be there if only I lived anywhere near Suffolk, just to support my colleague, Sarah Connolly, and recovered from a year of cancer treatment. Wonderful singer.

    • Marfisa says:

The one thing that the UK has done well with Covid is its vaccination program; in England 95% of over-50s have been vaccinated. In the UK as a whole 63% of the population has had at least one shot. The program is continuing rapidly.
May 17th is the target date for allowing “some larger performances and sporting events in indoor venues with a capacity of 1,000 people or half-full (whichever is a lower number)”. Masks and social-distancing rules will continue to be followed.
So I trust that everything will go well for Snape Maltings from May 21 on. I would love to be there.
