mainThe German violinist, 57, talks of losing her first husband 27 years ago to lung cancer:
‘The premonition that my husband might have cancer came almost exactly on the day we found out that I was pregnant for the second time… At the time, we both insisted that we could make it. Nothing else was imaginable. The relationship with my husband was something very special and this bond that was and still is between us, that is what I see when I look at my children.’
