Vladimir Tolstoy, President Putin’s adviser on culture, has said restrictions must end in order to stop the damage inflicted by the pandemic on cultural institutions.

‘We can firmly say that cultural life in Russia has not been interrupted, it adapted,’ he said.

Most theatres are presently operating either half or quarter-full.

The New Yorker recently had an article about how the propaganda in Russia downplaying COVID has been so successful that Russians don’t see the need to get the vaccine, despite the fact that the Russians did a really great job getting Sputnik to market so fast.

It would be kinda evil if you’d withhold a working vaccine from your population just to sell it for foreign currencies instead of some worthless Rubles. But if that populace doesn’t *want* it, well… Thank you, state-sponsored propaganda! 😉

Well done, Russia!!! Enough is enough. We can’t live like this forever. “Protecting” people against this virus by destroying everything else should never have been considered an option! Yet, sadly, that’s the option so many countries in Europe took – and keep insisting on.
