Rising star, 27, dies in helicopter crash
mainThe fastest rising music talent in Botswana, the jazz singer Sasa Klaas, has died in an air crash at a game reserve.
Daughter of the politician Anna Mokgethi, Sasa had her own television show in South Africa and was destined for greater things.
Botswana Musicians Union boss Pagson Ntsie said: ‘This was a sudden shock to the entire music industry. She was a pride to the Botswana music industry, her passing is a great loss. Sasa Klaas has inspired a lot of Batswana youngsters, especially the girl child. She was a great competitor both locally and internationally.’
