The death is reported of Esteban Mazer, an Argentine harpsichord player who lived near Barcelona and recorded with a number of European labels. He often performed with his wife, the American oboist Katy Elkin.

They founded together the unconventional Barcelona Baroque group, Le Tendre Amour.

I am sad for this musician’s wife and family; and I am sad for myself that I had never heard of him or of his group until now. They perform music as it should be – part of an exciting life with dance, theatre, athletics all mixed up together, mini-operas without the stuffiness. Their Los Elementos, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cv14N5i66xo, at the Styriarte festival is just amazing.

I would guess that the word ‘harpsichord’ functions as negative click bait for SD commenters!
